Go Bananas for story elevation

In todays world a good photo is not interesting enough, there has to be a story. Whether it's a story on camera or a behind the scenes image to show the audience a sneak peak at your set up, a good post comes with elevation!

This image is part of the 70's call girl photo shoot we produced in Dallas, Texas. Here our model appears a little undone, so to speak, while drinking her favorite drink. A lacy top slightly falling off one shoulder to show movement and carelessness to match her rolled up hair as if gearing up for a night out she isn't quite ready for.

As a fashion photographer, I look at all the details and take into consideration how my lighting will effect the outfit, model and set. With this shoot we went with all hard light, from an "on camera" position. This give the feel of caught in the moment or not so set up like a photoshoot. The images I were drawn to the most were the ones with movement and expression away from camera. As if the scene is fleeting and the viewer is about to get left behind.
