A little fishing wire goes a long way...
Can you guess how many lights for these shots and how the light was modified? Product photography is all about being creative but informative. Only one light was use on these photos and it was modified with a 5' softbox placed directly above the product. The white surface acts as a fill card and provides the perfect ration of light to the shadow side.
These baskets were rigged with fishing wire which was tied to c-stands. Sounds simple but it wasn't. We had to tie the string in just the right spot so the center of gravity would tilt the basket ever so slightly to camera. The grey wall is actually white but with very little light hitting it.
